Campaign outcome
So, what was the result on 19 September 2010? Did we achieve our ambitious goals? Yes and no. Yes, we did become the third largest party and we now have seats in more municipalities and in all regional councils. However, contrary to some predictions in the polls, we neither doubled our share of the votes nor succeeded in forming a government together with our Red-Green partners.

In numbers, we achieved the best result ever in parliamentary elections with 7.3% of the votes. The result translated into 6 new MPs (up to 25 from 19), the first ever Green deputy speaker in parliament (Ulf Holm), 35 new regional councillors and 250 new local councillors.
